Aquatecture
Associates, Inc., Architects & Planners, is proud to announce the 100-year
anniversary of their building and its service to the community of Point
Pleasant Beach.
Completed
in 1915, it served as the fire house for Ocean Fire Company No.1, which was
founded in 1885 (both dates are still visible on the facade).
Purchased
by Aquatecture Associates, Inc. in 1998, the building exterior was completely
restored to its original historic context and the building now serves as the
home of Aquatecture Associates, Inc., Architects & Planners, as well as the
Ocean Star Newspaper.
Winning
several awards for adaptive reuse and furthering cultural heritage, the
building is a reminder of Aquatecture Associates, Inc. commitment to keeping
history alive in Point Pleasant Beach.
